Who We Are

Founded on 20 May 2015, Foodbank of Indonesia (FOI) is a non-profit social organisation under the Yayasan Lumbung Pangan Indonesia foundation. Our mission is to fight hunger among vulnerable groups and build productive communities through food redistribution.

Foodbank of Indonesia is rooted in the collective movement of communities, nurturing a continuous effort to tackle hunger and food waste while strengthening food resilience in society.

To achieve this, Foodbank of Indonesia initiates the empowerment of women — especially mother communities — in food and social affairs, supports UMKM and local food producers, and accompanies communities toward food self-sufficiency.

Vision & Mission

FOI Vision

To build productive communities through food redistribution, creating inclusive food access that is just and sustainable.

FOI Mission

Open fair and inclusive food access for everyone, especially food-insecure communities including children, the elderly, and informal workers.
Protect local food sources by reviving cooking culture, mutual cooperation, and the community wisdom of the food barn (lumbung pangan).
Support the productivity of farmers, fishers, and small-business owners (UMKM), particularly women.
